About the Role

This is a high-impact executive leadership opportunity to shape and drive the commercial strategy for a rapidly growing aerospace metals business. As Vice President of Sales, you will lead a national team of sales professionals, drive key customer relationships, and unlock new market opportunities. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in positioning the company for sustainable, scalable growth while maintaining its reputation as a trusted supplier in highly regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s commercial function, including sales strategy, team leadership, and key account management.

  • Develop and execute a long-term go-to-market strategy aligned with corporate growth goals.

  • Build and strengthen customer relationships with aerospace OEMs, Tier 1/2 suppliers, and strategic partners.

  • Identify new business opportunities in aerospace, defense, and adjacent markets.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and product management to ensure alignment with customer needs.

  • Implement sales metrics, forecasting models, and performance dashboards to track and drive results.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and executive-level meetings.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing sales and business development professionals.

  • Annual revenue growth and customer retention

  • Expansion of strategic accounts and new market penetration

  • Sales forecast accuracy and pipeline development

  • Margin improvement through strategic pricing and account targeting

  • Team performance, development, and retention

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, including 5+ years in the aerospace metals or specialty alloys sector

  • Proven success managing national or global commercial teams in complex, engineered product environments

  • Expertise in metal manufacturing processes such as forging, extrusion, casting, and heat treatment

  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and strategic planning skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or Business

Preferred:

  • MBA or advanced technical degree

  • Experience working with AS9100, NADCAP, and ITAR-compliant manufacturing environments

  • Background in both commercial and technical sales roles

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary: $200,000 - $240,000

  • Eligible for up to 40% performance-based executive bonus
