Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 + Commission + Car Allowance

About the Role
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will serve as the primary commercial contact for strategic customers across a multi-state territory in the Southeastern U.S. Based in Georgia, this high-visibility role is responsible for growing revenue with existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and building long-term partnerships within targeted industrial markets. The ideal candidate has a strong technical sales background in adhesives, sealants, or specialty chemical solutions and thrives in a consultative, solution-selling environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow key customer relationships across assigned territory, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within target accounts and verticals
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including R&D, product management, and operations to deliver customized solutions
Prepare and present technical proposals, pricing strategies, and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs
Track and report on sales pipeline, forecast accuracy, and account performance metrics
Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity to inform sales strategy and product development
Represent the company at regional trade shows, customer events, and industry forums
Provide training and support to distributors and channel partners when applicable
Key Performance Indicators
Sales growth within assigned accounts and new customer acquisition
Gross margin performance by account
Territory sales pipeline development and close ratio
Customer satisfaction and retention metrics
Timely and accurate CRM updates and reporting
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
5+ years of technical sales experience in the adhesives, sealants, or specialty chemical industry
Proven track record of managing complex customer relationships and exceeding sales targets
Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and product application requirements
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Willingness to travel 50%+ throughout the Southeastern region
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field
Preferred:
Experience selling into automotive, packaging, or construction-related markets
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot
Background working with private-label or custom formulation environments
Compensation & Benefits
Annual base salary: $120,000 - $140,000
